The Founders

Joe, a serial entrepreneur, founded Goodcents in 1989, while Laurie, a retired nurse and former college swimmer, brought her own passion for service to the table. Together, they were inspired to establish The Goodcents Foundation, driven by a shared commitment to making a positive impact in their community.

The Goodcents Foundation is dedicated to supporting initiatives that improve the lives of those affected by Alzheimer’s disease. By partnering with the Alzheimer's Association, the foundation aims to raise awareness, fund research, and provide resources for families dealing with this challenging condition. The Alzheimer's Association leads the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia - by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.

This collaboration includes various fundraising efforts, community events, and educational programs designed to inform the public about Alzheimer’s disease, its impacts, and the importance of early detection and support. The foundation also contributes to research initiatives that seek to advance understanding and treatment of Alzheimer's.
